ABOUT ME/
I was born in Genk (1983) and raised in Leut, a picturesque village in an rural environment, surrounded by nature. Love for nature is in my DNA and due to the efforts of my parents helping me from a young age to know the Creator of all these things, developed in me a deep appreciation for Jehovah God and his miracles.

My father was adventurous and clearly had photography in his genes and that was also the reason why in my early childhood I was always fascinated by the many possibilities of this unique art form. Yet, it was my mother's sports genes that dominated in all the years that followed.

But this eventually changed when I lost my parents in a tragic car accident in 2013. It was definitely a difficult period, but it was also a turning point. My father's genes regained the upper hand and at the end of 2014 I bought my first Sony camera and gradually began to revive the safely preserved inner passion for photography.

After several years of practicing, I realized that the combination of traveling and photography should become a valuable part of my life. Not only did it help me regain the lost strength and energy but it also helped me to become a self-taught photographer who likes to keep challenging himself to improve constantly his way of viewing the planet and photographing what his eye captures.

Specializing in landscape and travel photography, my photographic portfolio tries to convey my deep love of the natural world. Focusing on capturing moments of breathtaking light and transferring this on print, my images reflect in a personal and unique way a combination of patience, perseverance and dedication to capture the images in ways that show how beautiful our Earth is.

FILTERS:
For the best results I use the circular filters of Breakthrough Photography (an amazing brand from San Francisco, USA) and the square 150mm filters of NiSi (one of the largest producers of filters in the world, based in Zhuhai, China).

TRIPODS:
I am currently using Leofoto, a fast-growing tripod brand with tripods made of 10 layers of cross-woven carbon. This is two to four layers more than other tripod brands. These extra layers make the carbon even stronger, more stable and dampen more vibrations.

CAMERA BAGS:
I love my Tenba Axis Tactical 24L backpack. It is made from durable materials and has a rigid construction for the toughest conditions!
